The project “Imprinting an ecological compensation reasoning on society by means of young citizens - IMPRINT+” was the only Portuguese project selected by the European Commission to integrate a working group on Education for Entrepreneurship. The project, led by the Department of Biology/CESAM, is part of the international strategic partnerships for the School Education, funded by the Erasmus + program.
With less than a year, the IMPRINT + project has been positioning itself as a reference project in environmental education and in participatory citizenship in the various countries of the consortium. Now it was the European Commission, which finances the project through the Erasmus+ program, to recognize its relevance in the area of Young Entrepreneurship.
IMPRINT+ project aims to promote an environmentally responsible behaviour through games and educational competitions. The primary target audience is children and young people, but the messages are aimed at society as a whole, assuming the mobilizing power of the youngest people to behavioural changes. The innovative character of the project is related to its multidisciplinary approach and to the fact of combining the conservation of natural resources and environmental education with the green entrepreneurship.
