DBIO/CESAM Researcher integrates European project on bio(nano)materials

Mónica Amorim, researcher at DBIO/CESAM, is the principal researcher of the portuguese team for a recently approved European Project under Horizon 2020. The project will be developed in the area of ​​nanotechnology, advanced materials, biotechnology and production (NMBP12: "Development Of a reliable methodology for better risk management of biomedical biomaterials in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products and / or Medical Devices ").

The "BIORIMA - BIOmaterial RIsk Management" project is coordinated by the UK's Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM) in Edinburgh and involves 43 partners from 13 European countries as well as partners from Brazil, China, Japan and the USA. The project has an overall funding of around eight million euros.
