Prizes and awards received

- RICTA 2013 Ph.D Prize (ex aequo), with the doctoral thesis entitled: “Contribution of biomass combustion to air pollutant emissions”, at the 1st Iberian Meeting on Aerosol Science and Technology, from 2 to 3 July 2013, organized and hosted by the Geophysics Centre of the University of Évora (CGE) with the collaboration of AECTA.

- The article "Characterisation of PM10 emissions from woodstove combustion of common woods grown in Portugal”, was one of the 50 most cited articles in the biennium 2010-2011 of the Elsevier Journal Atmospheric Environment.

- Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS): Determination of trace element.
- Gamma Ray Spectrometer: Analytical determination of radionuclides.
- Liquid scintillation counter: ultra low determinations of radionuclides (naturals and artificials).
- Experience with AutoCad Map, ArcView 3.2, ArcView GIS, Xcalibur, Chromeleon 6.8.
