Knowing slugs that steal chloroplasts from algae to produce their own photosynthesis, recreate ex situ coral reefs, life support systems for marine organisms, conservation of marine animal populations, rescue and rehabilitation of mammals, turtles and seabirds, socioeconomic impacts of invasive species were some of the topics covered in the first workshop - Research at ECOMARE that took place this weekend at the facilities of this research and technology transfer center of the University of Aveiro dedicated to the issues of the Sea.
