Published in 2/11/2018
Rewilding Europe announced the donation of 2.6 million euros from the Endangered Landscape Programme (ELP) to finance the project “Scaling Up Rewilding in Western Iberia”. This project results from a partnership with the local organizations Rewilding Portugal, ATNatureza, University of Aveiro and Zoo Logical with Professor Carlos Fonseca as the UA coordinator. Rewilding Western Iberia will contribute to reinforce Vale do Côa as a wildlife corridor of 120.000 hectares, improving the connectivity between Serra da Malcata (south) and Canhão Fluvial do Douro (north).
