Faculty of CESAM were present in debate on climate change in a school of Oliveira de Azeméis

Faculty Henrique Queiroga and Paulo Silva, were invited to talk about climate change and its impacts in the oceans in a debate in Escola Básica e Secundária Ferreira de Castro, Oliveira de Azeméis. Prof. Henrique Queiroga talked about the causes of global warming and some of its impacts in marine ecosystems, namely in artic and tropical regions as well as in Portugal. Prof. Paulo Silva talked about the increase of the sea level, the consequences of coastal erosion in Portugal and the possible adaptation measures.
This debate is included in the 1st stage of this school application to the Youth Parliament 2019. It was organized by students of the 12th grade and count with the presence of about 100 students from 7th to 12th grade.
