Science and Nature articles highlight work of expedition with CESAM researchers

The researchers Ana Hilário and Patrícia Garrote are presently on board of the oceanographic vessel Sonne that works in the Pacific (Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone). Their present in this expedition are in the scope of the project MiningImpact2 (JPIO), led by the Researcher Matthias Haeckel (GEOMAR) and coordinated at the University of Aveiro by Prof. Marina Cunha (FCT-Mining2/0002/2017) and funded by an international consortium. Science and Nature recently highlighted some work within the scope of this campaign in articles that can be read here and here, respectively More news on this expedition will be given by the end of it, late in May.
