Is there pollution in Antarctica? CESAM approaches this question at school

Researcher Joana Pereira presented on 20th March a talk at Escola EB 2,3 de Aradas. This talk was inserted in the International Polar Week, promoted in Portugal by the project Propolar Education, associated to PROPOLAR (Portuguese Polar Program), APECS PORTUGAL (Associação de Jovens Investigadores Polares de Portugal) and PEI (Polar Educators International). The talk of Joana Pereira was focused on the pollution in Antarctica, namely on the type of pollution, the effects and how we can protect the Antarctic ecosystems. This event was organized by two professors of the school and the audience was constituted by a group of more than 40 students ageing between 9 and 11 years old.
