CESAM welcomes researchers from several parts of the world with the main objective of creating a MSc Programme in Aquaculture and Fisheries

Between 17 and 19 December the University of Aveiro hosted several researchers from Palermo University in Italy, Dubrovnik University of Croatia, EMUNI (Euro-Mediterranean University) in Slovenia, University of Alexandria in Egypt, University of Aswan in Egypt and Arab Academy of Sciences and Maritime Transport in Egypt for the start-up meeting of the Erasmus+ FishAqu project ("Knowledge Exchange in sustainable Fisheries management and Aquaculture in the Mediterranean region"). The main objective of this project is to create a Master's programme in Aquaculture and Fisheries in the light of the principles of the Bologna process. The beginning of this meeting was marked by the welcome reception by the Vice-Rector of the University of Aveiro, Professor Artur Silva. During the meeting the bases for the implementation and execution of the project were established and the curricular development will be based on future meetings in Aveiro and Marsa Matrouh in Egypt, as well as in Piran in Slovenia. This project involves, among other activities, the mobility of teachers and students from the University of Aveiro to Egypt where they will participate in the teaching of Master's modules, as well as the reception at the University of Aveiro of Egyptian students. http://fishaqu.eu/
