CESAM shares the benefits of the biochar in vulnerable soils with the agroforestry sector

Researchers from CESAM – Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies, Ana Catarina Bastos (DBio) and Frank Verheijen (DAO), have demonstrated the potential benefits of biochar in agroforestry ecosystems, within the framework of the SEED+ Demonstration Action, within the Integra@tec project. The action that took place at UA involved the participation of 6 invited institutions linked to the agroforestry sector. The SEED+ team anticipates that the results of this study may contribute to the sustainable management and adaptation of vulnerable ecosystems to global change.
