Interesses de investigação

My research interests focus on aspects of the ecology of seabirds and shorebirds, in particular: reproduction, migration routes, diet and foraging behavior. The ecosystems protection and the environmental education are also relevant issues included in my interests.

Atividades científicas

March 2018 - present: Research grant from Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, under the Project "Assessing migratory connectivity and quantifying the impact of migrant shorebirds in the structure and functioning of tropical and temperate coastal ecosystems (IF/00694/2015)".

June - September 2016: Contracted as field work assistant by the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (Portuguese BirdLife International partner), under the Project "LIFE RECOVER NATURA - Recovery of the species and land habitats of the Natura 2000 sites Ponta de São Lourenço and Desertas Islands (European LIFE Project LIFE12 NAT/PT/000195)".

March - June 2015: Research grant as lab assistant from Faculty of Sciences Foundation, University of Lisbon, under the Project "Invisible links: unveiling origins of migratory waders using biochemical markers (PTDC/MAR/119920/2010)".

May - September 2014: Research grant as field work assistant from ISPA - University Institute, Lisbon, under the Project "Foraging ecology, movements and abundance of an avian predator of mesopelagic prey: new and deeper insights using novel techniques and ideas (PTDC/MAR/21071/2010)".

November 2008 - July 2013: PhD fellowship from Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology contract SFRH/BD/40096/2007.
