Research interests

My research interests are focused in wild ungulate populations, in monitoring tecnhiques through direct and indirect methodologies and in management of wild populations.

Academic carrer

2008 - 2013 - Degree in Biology in Aveiro University with a final project entitled: "Study of the microstructure of the Iberian terrestrial mammals - Guide for taxonomic identification of species" and an internship entitled: “The distribution of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) and red deer (Cervus elaphus) in Montesinho Natural Park, northeastern Portugal.”


2013 - 2014 - Master in Applied Ecology in Aveiro University, with the thesis "Red and roe deer densities and distribution in northeastern Portugal”


01/10/2016 - 30/09/2020 - PhD in Biology and Ecology of Global Changes in Aveiro University in colaboration with Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, entitled: "Diagnosing and managing scenarios of ungulate overabundance in the Iberian Peninsula"
