Short Curriculum Vitae

Rosário Domingues, Ph.D. is presently Associated Professor with Habilllitation in the Department of Chemistry & CESAM, University of Aveiro (UA), Aveiro, Portugal. She is Vice Head of the Department of Chemistry and Director of the Doctoral Program of Biochemistry at UA. She graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Coimbra (1990), received her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry (1998), and Habilitation in Biochemistry (2014) at the University of Aveiro. Since 2016 she held the contract of Associated Professor with Habilitation in the Mass Spectrometry Centre, Department of Chemistry, University of Aveiro (UA). From 1991 to 1998 she was Assistant at UA, and Auxiliar Professor between 1998-2016. She has over 25 years of research experience in the field of mass spectrometry, and is a well-established researcher in the field of lipidomics, glycomics and changes in biomolecules associated with oxidative stress monitored by mass spectrometry. She is one of the co-leaders of the Lipidomics Laboratory of the Mass Spectrometry Centre of the UA. Her major research interests are focused in Lipidomics, namely: Marine Lipidomics, Oxidative Lipidomics and Lipidomics in Health and Disease. She is/has already been PI and /or team member of more than 20 projects funded by national and European programs. In the present, she is the coordinator at UA of two European projects, the project H2020-MSCA-ITN-2015 Innovative Training Networks (ITNH2020-MSCA-ITN-2015) “MASS spectrometry TRaining in Protein Lipoxidation ANalysis for Inflammation; MASSTRPLAN (Grant number 675132) and the project GENIALG - Genetic diversity exploitation for Innovative macro-algal biorefinery (ANR-15-MRSE-0015), Innovation actions BG-01-2016: Large-scale algae biomass integrated biorefineries.
