Research interests

Lipidomics studies of algae (by using chromatography and mass spectrometry-based approaches);

Evaluation of biological activities of algae lipids for new therapeutics products;

Eco-friendly strategies for the extraction of bioactive added value lipids;

Valorisation of biomass following a Biorefinery concept: in the pursuit of lipids, polysaccharides, proteins, pigments, and minerals for specific uses in the medical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food or feed industry...
