Key skills and competences

Experience in culture-dependent and independent methodologies for the analysis of complex bacterial communities and strains; Skills in genomics for handling large sequence data and analysis; genome assembly and annotation; whole-genome based analysis for taxonomic inference and resistome and mobilome description; experience in characterization of antibiotic resistant bacteria and resistance mechanisms, dissemination potential, virulence traits, metal tolerance and pathogenicity traits; quantification of genetic determinants of resistance; Experience on handling  environmental samples from pristine waters, metal-contaminated soils or wastewaters, for  microbiological studies.
