Research interests

Development and implementation of methodologies for the sustainable aquaculture of low-trophic level species.

Development and implementation of community-based aquaculture projects in developing countries (optimization of production techniques, development of artisanal diets based on agriculture byproducts, broodstock selection and management, optimization of larval rearing processes).

Valorization of low-trophic level species sustainably produced in aquaculture.

Development of functional feeds to improve the biochemical and organoleptic characteristics of organisms produced in aquaculture.

Food safety: optimization of purification and packaging processes of bivalve molluscs produced in aquaculture.
