Research interests

Ana Isabel Calvo received her Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of León (Spain) in 2009. She made two postdoctoral stays at: i) the Department of Chemistry of the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) (July-December 2009) and ii) at the Centre of Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) of the University of Aveiro (Portugal) (January 2010- September 2013). The study and characterization of atmospheric aerosol and precipitation constitute the mainstays of her research activity. Within the scientific-technical interests and objectives in the medium/long term, the study of the influence of air pollution on human health and climate and the deepening of the study of aerosol-precipitation interaction stand out.

Since September 2013, she has carried out her professional activity in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Physics of the University of León, where she combines teaching (240 hours per year) and research. She began as an Assistant Professor and, since 2019, she is an Associate Professor.
