The Intensive Program (IP) will be a 2-weeks intensive course focusing on management of urban flood risks.
The main goal of the proposed IP is to provide an exhaustive theoretical-practical overview of the up-to-date procedures for urban flood risk assessment, including environmental and physical data collection and processing, flood drivers analysis, quantitative modelling and risk management. Urban flood risk can be assessed and managed only by following multidisciplinary approach, so the proposed IP will allow to integrate the scientific and teaching expertise of the partners in specific disciplines, within an advanced level teaching programme. The IP is also addresses to promote multinational teaching and strengthen the current relationships among the participants that worked together in the recent past both on research programmes and the compilation of a EU FP7 proposal on risk, prevention and management of urban floods.
Target of the IP are undergraduate and graduate students from different scientific academic backgrounds.
