![]() Programme - FP6 Execution dates - 2001-03-01 - 2004-05-31 (39 Months) Funding Entity - European Commission Proponent Institution - Universidade de Aveiro Participating Institutions Faculté de Lettres e Sciences Humaines, Université Mohammed V - Marocco. ALTERRA GREEN WORLD RESEARCH - The Netherlands Institut National Agronomique de Tunisie - Tunisie CLIMED aimed to assess the impact of changes in water availability, resultant either from climatic variability, abnormal succession of dry periods, or due to inadequate management, and their implications for water and land use. The project performed an analysis of the relationship between political and planning tools and water management and the assessment of socio-economical impacts of different scenarios on water availability. The main goal was to build a conceptual model able to identify the potential problems resulting from water availability changes which will support the decision-making process. http://www2.dao.ua.pt/RECNATUR/climed/index.htm
