Impacto ambiental antropogénico na biodiversidade, sobretudo, introdução de espécies exóticas, alterações climáticas e efeitos de práticas agrícolas não sustentáveis, utilizando os insetos como grupo modelo. Mais recentemente, serviços dos ecossistemas prestados pelo insetos, ciência cidadã e na ecologia de ecossistemas costeiros.
