NMEC - Núcleo de Modelação Estuarina e Costeira da Universidade de Aveiro
O Núcleo de Modelação Estuarina e Costeira da Universidade de Aveiro é constituído por docentes, investigadores e bolseiros do Departamento de Física da Universidade de Aveiro. Este grupo encontra-se integrado no grupo de investigação em Oceanografia e Geologia Marinha da linha de investigação Ecossistemas Marinhos e Modelação do laboratório Associado CESAM (Centro de Estudos do Ambiente e do Mar) que constitui um Laboratório Associado da Universidade de Aveiro.
Destacam-se presentemente estudos relacionados com os efeitos da subida do nível médio do mar, inundações costeiras, formação de plumas estuarinas, processos de mistura e transporte, interacções física/biologia/química, com particular destaque para o efeito das alterações climáticas.
