Project Description

Coral reef ecosystems are increasingly subjected to multiple, interacting stressors associated with human activities including industrial pollution and resource extraction. The proposed study will be the first large scale temporal and spatial assessment of megacity impacts on coral reef environments in an important marine biodiversity hotspot. The results of this study should prove important to conserving coral reef systems and help to reduce the impact of future urbanization.
