Degrees and Position

Mário J. Pereira has a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Aveiro - Portugal. He has obtained is graduation at the same University where he have developed must of its activity. He have start, under the supervision of Prof. Jorge Rino, is interest by the Taxonomy and Ecology of Algae including Cyanoprokaryota. Its main interests of research are related but not limited to that field and results were published in several journals (see details below). He have participated in the organization of International Conferences and the must relevant where the FWEEC (First World Environmental Congress) and the AFPR - Plankton Symposium series. He is, since 2002, Assistant Professor at the Biology Department of Aveiro University.
