Professional Career

September 2009 till May 2010 - Secretarial collaborator at Imar - Institute of Marine Research - Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra, having performed various tasks in the management of scientific projects.

Research field

Aquatic Ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessment; use of ecotoxicological bioassays to assess potential levels of contamination in the aquatic environment.

Nanoparticles: caracterization and ecotoxicity in the aquatic environment.

Physa acuta, Daphnia magna, Danio rerio, Raphidocelis subcapitata - species that I currently focus most of my work on to develop ecotoxicological bioassays.

Lymnaea stagnalis, Daphnia longispina, Ceriodaphnia dubia, Vibrio fischeri, Brachionus plicatilis, Brachionus calyciflorus, Heterocypris incongruens and Cerastoderma edule - species with which I have also worked with.
