Brief CV Details

Teresa Fidélis is Assistant Professor at the Department of Environment and Planning of the University of Aveiro and integrated researcher in CESAM. Holds a PhD in Applied Sciences Environmental Sciences by the University of Aveiro, Portugal, a "Master of Philosophy in Town and Country Planning " by the University of Manchester, UK, and a BSc (5yr) Urban and Regional Planning by University of Aveiro, Portugal. The main teaching subjects are Land-use and Environmental Planning and Assessment, Environmental Governance and Legislation and Integrated Water Resources Management. Is the author and co-author of three books, 4 chapters of books, 18 international peer-reviewed papers, and more that 30 papers in proceedings. Has supervised or co-supervised 4 PhD Thesis and more than 25 MSc Theses. Has also worked  in the interface between the university and the society in domains related to Environmental planning and evaluation, Environmental governance and sustainability indicators. Has integrated several international research projects on water resources management and planning. Has also participated in regional land-use planning, river basin management plans river basins and ex-ante evaluations of plans, among others. Between 2008 and 2012  was President of the River Basin Authority of the Center, IP and of the Board of the Polis Litoral Ria de Aveiro, SA. (Portugal).
