Ocean Alive, the first cooperative in Portugal dedicated to the protection of the ocean, which focuses on the Sado river, in Setúbal, is preparing a recommendation to the Minister of Environment and Climate Action and to the Minister of the Sea, for the inclusion of seagrasses and saltmarshes in the Roadmap for Carbon Neutrality 2050, which has already collected 500 signatures from several portuguese and foreign specialists.

Ana Isabel Sousa, who works on quantifying the blue carbon captured by seagrasses and saltmarshes, is one of the subscribers.
