Scientific activities

Researcher at the Chemistry department of the University of Aveiro since january 2019 (in the scope of the framework contract foreseen in the numbers 4, 5 and 6 of the article 23, of the Decree-Law 57/2016, of August 29, changed by Law 57/2017, of July 19), focusing on the:

Development of new strategies for the remediation of contaminated water and recovery of elements with high strategic/economic value, based on:

-living macroalgae (bioccumulation);
-biowastes (biosorption);
-three-dimensional graphene-based materials

Assessment of the distributions of pollutants and their reactivity in water, sediments, soil and biota leading to a quantitative evaluation of their impact.
