Core Competencies

Marine ecologist with 15 years of research experience (including PhD). Main expertise in reproductive ecology, evolution, phylogeny and taxonomy of deep-sea invertebrates, and in population connectivity in the deep-sea ecosystems and its implications for biogeography and conservation.
Experience in a variety of tasks including life-history analyses, species descriptions and molecular phylogenies and deep-sea sampling experimentation using manned and un-manned submersibles as well as traditional sampling gear (e.g. box-and multicorer and MOCNESS nets), and in situ and in vitro experimentation.
Proven expertise in project management and established international network of contacts.
