Training Activity

1) 10 September to 5 October 2018 – Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM), in the frame of EcoTech-SPONGE project, under the supervision of Dr. Ulisses Nunes da Rocha, Microbial Systems Bioinformatics of the Department of Environmental Microbiology; Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ (Leipzig, Germany).


2) 17-20 July 201 – Participation in Metagenomics Bioinformatics 2018 course, in the frame of EcoTech-SPONGE project, conducted by the European Bioinformatics Institute EMBL-EBI; Cambridge, UK.


3) Sept-Oct 2017 - Field and laboratorial expedition to the Penghu Archipelago (Taiwan) in collaboration with the research team of the Naturalis Biodiversity Center (the Netherlands) and the research teams of the Departments of Marine Recreation, Food Science and Aquaculture of the National Penghu University of Science and Technology (Penghu, Taiwan) under the project EcoTech-SPONGE.


4) May 31 to June 14 2013 - Participation in the Summer Satellite Remote Sensing Training Course - Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA, in the frame of LESS CORAL project.


5) May to June 2012 - Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM), in the frame of LESS CORAL project, under the supervision of Ana Martins, Department of Oceanography and Fisheries, University of the Azores.


6) 26 July to 10 August 2011 - Field work expedition, in the frame of LESS CORAL project, to Thousand Islands Archipelago, northwest of Jakarta, Indonesia in collaboration with the research team of the Naturalis Biodiversity Center (the Netherlands).
