Currently working as a Researcher at Joint Research Centre at European Commission, Invited Professor at the University of Aveiro, and main supervisor of 2 PhD students.
Published 25 articles in peer-review journals. Has 1 book section, received 5 awards, and has an H-index of 12 (Scopus). During her research path, she was the Principal investigator of the FEMME project and supervised 2 PhD theses, 2 postdoctoral researchers, and 4 MSc fellows. Also, co-supervised 4 MSc dissertations, Co-supervised 2 works of course completion of LSc/BSc. Participated in 9 projects as Master, PhD, and as Pos-doctoral Fellow, and organized 6 international scientific events.
Since 2009 she was also affiliated in Centro de Investigación Forestal de Lourizán, Instituto Superior Técnico and University of Aveiro. She also did a research stay in Investigación Forestal de Lourizán (2011), and a short scientific mission in Wageningen University & Research (2018).

Currently she is dedicated to large scale post-fire soil erosion modelling, land degradation, healthy soils, and the assessment, fate, and remediation of soil pollution in EU soils.
