ACADEMIC DEGREES

2011: PhD in Biology (Ecosystem Biology), Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia, České Budějovice.
2007: MSc in Sustainable Agriculture, Faculty of Engineering of Natural Resources, University of Algarve, Portugal.
2003: Degree (Licenciatura) in Agronomic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of Natural Resources, University of Algarve, Portugal.

Area of scientific activity

Anthropogenic environmental impacts on biodiversity, namely, introduction of invasive species, climate change and effects of non-sustainable agricultural practices, using mainly insects as a model group. More recently, I am also interested in ecosystem services provided by insects, in citizen science and in the ecology of costal ecosystems.
